AEML organise mega clean-up drive at the Juhu beach post Ganpati Immersion under the aegis of Swachhata Abhiyan

Mumbai, September 25, 2018 (TGN) : As an extension to the ongoing campaign for ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’, Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) activated mega clean-up drive at the Juhu beach post Ganpati Immersion. Almost 100 AEML employees collected the waste that got washed back by the water, after the Ganpati immersions. This was done in a bid to make the beaches litter free.
Earlier this month, AEML  employees  took a pledge to support the national movement ‘Swachhta hi Seva’ and continues to support the two-week long cleanliness drive around their office premises located at various locations. As a team effort, close to 2,500 employees have been working in groups for eradicating the waste on the roads as well as in and around their office premises.
Commenting on this initiative, AEML spokesperson said, “Ganesh festival is one of the most celebrated religious event in the city. While the joy and enthusiasm is enormous among the devotees, the damage caused to the environment post the immersion of idols has been an alarming concern for years. As a group, we take pride in supporting the national agenda and continue to extend our support towards a sustainable environment.”
